The Top 10 Bars in Amman

Amigo Pub

The Amigo Pub in Amman has a real “old-school” kind of flare and aesthetic to it, one that is completely unique and distinct from every other bar in the capital.

Renowned, beloved, and frequently recommended for its incredible beer options (some of the freshest, coldest, most delicious beer in the city), you’ll be able to enjoy some pretty solid food when you stop into the Amigo Pub, too.

You’ll know you’re in the right spot the first time that you walk through the doors – everything is red (the entire interior, almost). This gives off a unique sort of vibe for the Amigo Pub, energizing you but also putting you at ease at the same time.

The spot is relatively modest and simply appointed, but everything is really cozy. It’s the perfect place to bring your friends, your family members, or just to stop in solo and see what else the night has in store for you.

Those that love to play a little bit of pool are going to have plenty of opportunity to knock some billiards around, too!

Café de Paris

The Paris Circle community in Amman has really transformed over the last 15 or 20 years, becoming one of the trendiest spots in the city – as well as home to some of the best restaurants, the best bars, and the best nightlife around.

Interestingly enough, though, this community has still maintained a relatively down to earth and relaxed kind of vibe at the same time. You’ll be amazed at just how beautiful and elegant a lot of these spots – like the Café de Paris is – but how welcoming and open they are as well.

The menu here is pretty simple and almost minimalist, but don’t let that fool you. Everything (from the drinks to the food and everything else) here is really refined, too.

The international crowd floods into this hotspot on a nightly basis but there’s a devoted army of regulars that like to call this bar home, too.

Cantaloupe Gastro Pub

The Cantaloupe Gastro Pub is a real oddity in Amman – but that’s a good thing!

Half traditional pub and half gastronomy laboratory, the folks behind this operation have found a perfect balance between the old and the new to bring you one of the best bar and nightlife experiences in the capital city.

The drinks are incredible (if a little bit on the more expensive side of things), with a great beer, wine, and cocktail selection. The bartenders are experienced, well-trained, and about as friendly as they get, too.

What really helps to set this bar apart from the rest of the pack – and what helped to turn a spot on our top 10 bars in Amman for sure – is the food menu.

Changing all the time (not just seasonally), the gastropub plays around with regional cuisine mixed with fusions from all over the world to produce something really unique, really special, and flavors you aren’t going to be able to find anywhere else.

Combine that with impeccable seating, fantastic atmosphere, and one of the best dance floors in the city and it’s not hard to see why so many people love to visit this spot.

Tucked away (a little bit) in one of the more artsy districts of Amman, this restaurant/bar hybrid might not look like much when the sun is up – but as soon as the sun goes down and the moon rises things really start to crank up!

Beloved as one of the most interesting and eclectic nightlife spots in all of Amman, Canvas hosts a ton of live music but also has DJs and dance floors rocking and rolling pretty much every single night of the week.

Themed nights are common, with local artists “taking over” every now and again to exhibit their work. You never know exactly what you’re going to find at Canvas from one night to the next.

Copas Central

One of the more legendary bars and restaurants in the city, it’s incredible to think about what the walls would say if they had the ability to talk.

Anyone that’s anyone living in Amman (as well as those that just visit) has spent at least a little bit of time in this speakeasy looking spot.

The food here is exceptional, though maybe not quite as fancy or as elegant as you’d expect from a really high-end place such as this. It’s solid, comfort food through and through – and you’re going to walk away really appreciating every bit of the menu.

One of the most interesting things about this spot is how well it has modernized over the years without losing its charm and without losing its history.

This is a place with plenty of TVs to watch the big game but also a lot of quiet nooks and crannies that you can talk into for more intimate conversations.

This Irish pub might look a little out of place in Amman but it fits right into its local community and is a favorite for ex-pats, Europeans just visiting, and folks around the world that just want to soak in a little bit of Ireland in the middle of Jordan.

Everything – and we mean absolutely everything – about this popular bar revolves around Irish culture. Their beer is found here, their food is cooked here, and the atmosphere – as well as the music – is straight out of the Emerald Isle.

One of the most impressive things about this spot is how accessible and how affordable it is. You’ll be blown away by the reasonable prices on pretty much everything, making this a real favorite for those that are looking to soak in a little bit of Amman on a tighter budget.

La Calle

One of the hottest night time spots in all of Amman, this three floor café bar sits on the legendary Rainbow Street in the city and is packed to capacity almost every single night.

Italian food is on the menu here (some of the best in the city), but a lot of people come just for the view and the atmosphere that can only be found on the third floor here. You’ll be able to experience the entirety of the city while enjoying wonderful cocktails, great music, and pleasant conversation.

Happy hour is held every single night of the week between 6 PM and 8 PM local time. Make sure you get there to check that out at least once during your visit.

A relative newcomer to the nightlife scene in the city, Maestro has developed an almost cultlike following just because of how picture-perfect the whole experience here really is.

Everything from the furnishings to the seating options to the menu, to the music is absolutely dialed in, giving this a real New York kind of bar scene aesthetic – thousands and thousands of miles away from The Big Apple.

The cocktail menu was always spectacular but it continues to grow on what feels like an almost week to week basis. The food changes seasonally and there’s always something for everyone to enjoy.

Murphy’s House of Rock

A tourist favorite for sure, this is another of the more popular Irish pubs in the city of Amman.

Not quite as quaint as the Dubliners spot we mentioned earlier, this one is a little more commercial and a little more “modern” – but that doesn’t mean it isn’t one of the top 10 bars in the city. Not by a long stretch!

The food, the music, and the beer here are quintessentially Irish. If you’re looking for a good meal with quality beer and some of the best Irish music in the city, you can’t go wrong at Murphy’s.

Consistently rated as the best nightclub in Amman, you’ll find incredible views of the city on the open rooftop terrace but tons and tons of dancing and live music throughout the rest of the venue.

Some sections of this spot are quieter than others and better suited to travelers that want to relax and unwind. Most of the venue, though, is dedicated to a faster paced nightlife in the city for sure.
